• With the acquisition of 19% of Sundrone, Softeco rises to 59% of the share capital of the startup active in the thermographic and visual analysis of industrial-size solar plants
  • Sundrone uses the innovative automated PV Inspector solution, developed by Softeco, which allows more precise and rapid analyzes and the production of digital imaging analysis data of maintenance inspections
  • For the TerniEnergia group this is a new opportunity to increase the efficiency of O&M and asset management activities, which involves 283 MW of solar energy production plants, on its own behalf and on behalf of third parties, also internationally

TerniEnergia, a smart company listed on the MTA of Borsa Italiana and part of the Italeaf Group, announces that Softeco, the Group’s digital company, has completed the acquisition of 19% of the share capital of the technological startup Sundrone Srl, active in the sector of thermographic inspections and visual displays of photovoltaic plants of industrial size using remote piloted aircraft systems (drones). Softeco, which already held 40% of the company’s shares, thus rises to 59% of the share capital, acquiring control of it.

Through this extraordinary operation, the digital company brings to the TerniEnergia Group a significant technological opportunity, represented by the possibility of using the proprietary PV Inspector technology, developed by Softeco, and used exclusively by Sundrone, for operation and maintenance activities and asset management involving 283 MW of solar energy production plants, on its own behalf and on behalf of third parties, including internationally. This is a completely automated imaging analysis solution for multispectral thermographies and visual inspections, which makes it possible to speed up and make more precise the acquisition of digital data for the prevention and identification of faults and malfunctions of photovoltaic systems.

For Softeco this is a significant opportunity to increase its technological specialization in the field of intelligent plant management.
